On home game days, the band room remains open after school. Students have the option to stay at school before their call time. A meal will be provided at no cost thanks to the generosity of First Methodist Church of Trussville!

Staying after school is not required, but a great option for our younger students who don’t drive.

Student Leadership

We have a fantastic team of Student Leaders who will help guide New Members through the transition into High School Band!

  • Drum Majors
  • Section Leaders
  • Uniform Managers
  • Library Staff
  • Special Operations Team

Volunteering!

A band program relies on parent involvement. Throughout the year we’ll have many Volunteer needs,

and we need YOU!

Parents are expected

to work at least 3 events.

  • TMI - 10/4
  • Rock-a-Thon & Registration Day
  • Concessions Stand
    • Football & Track Season
  • Chaperoning
  • Other Various Events!

Volunteer needs will be sent in Newsletters, BandApp, and posted on our website. Thank you in advance for all of your support!

What is TMI?

The Trussville Marching Invitational (TMI) is a band competition hosted by the TCS Band Foundation.

TMI serves our music community as one of the finest competitive marching events in the state. We bring in high caliber judges to give quality educational feedback to performing ensembles.

We are very proud of the experience we provide as the host school. Our goal is to make this a fun, educational, organized, professional, enjoyable day for all participating bands and spectators.

Gadsden Music Partnership

We have a great partnership with Gadsden Music!

A Gadsden Music representative visits the high school every Tuesday morning to assist with simple repairs.

Any repairs that require an instrument going into the shop are paid by the student/family.

If you borrow a school instrument that needs significant repairs, the student/family may be asked to cover the cost if due to negligence (dropping, lack of appropriate maintenance/care)
