Boosters

  • Founded in 2014
  • Registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
  • All parents of team members are automatically members of the boosters
  • Executive Boosters Boards are all elected, non-paid volunteers

�Role:

  • Raise funds to register for competition and to build the robot
  • Support the leadership and management of the team
  • Assist with transportation of the team and robot to and from competitions
  • Organize team building activities
  • Community outreach to encourage the growth of STEM

WHAT DO COMPETITION WEEKENDS LOOK LIKE?

  • Western New England, Springfield MA 3/13-15
  • Harford Ct 3/27-29 (tentative)
  • Friday night is only a few kids for load-in, Saturday starts early(usually around 8 AM) and goes late (7-8 PM)
  • Sunday ends earlier (around 5-6) but ALL team members are expected to stay till the end regardless of our ranking
  • Parent expectations are to be present if the team member is staying overnight, if driving they can come with another parent who takes responsibility for them, arrangements will need to be made in advance

WHAT DO COMPETITION WEEKENDS LOOK LIKE CONTINUED?

  • Boosters will organize a hotel
  • Team dinner organized by Boosters Sat nights for a fee
  • Lunches are sign up – pot-luck everyone brings something (usually sandwiches) - Hartford – may order lunches for a fee
  • Usually bleacher seats, so come prepared
  • Cheer, help feed
