Prompt: How does Shakespeare show that impulsive choices contribute to tragedy in Romeo and Juliet?
STUDENT DRAFT
Romeo and Juliet make a lot of choices without thinking about what could happen. Romeo goes to the Capulet party even though his family has a feud with them, and later he and Juliet decide to get married very quickly. Their love is real, but they do not slow down to think about the danger around them. Shakespeare shows that acting on strong emotions without considering the consequences can turn a difficult situation into a tragedy.
This paragraph shows the student’s own claim and reasoning.

Shakespeare shows that impulsive choices can turn conflict into tragedy because Romeo and Juliet repeatedly act before considering the consequences. Romeo enters the Capulet party despite the violent feud between their families, and the couple later decides to marry after knowing each other for only a short time. Their love may be sincere, but their rushed decisions place them in greater danger. By showing how quickly emotion becomes action, Shakespeare suggests that strong feelings without careful judgment can make an already dangerous situation impossible to control.
The wording is stronger, but the student still owns the idea, evidence, and final choices.

AI can be wrong — verification is part of the work
Artificial intelligence can sound confident even when the answer is inaccurate, incomplete, or invented.
DO NOT ASSUME
AI is automatically correct because it sounds polished.
It may:
• misstate a fact
• invent a quote or source
• misunderstand your teacher’s directions
• oversimplify a complex idea
VERIFY BEFORE SUBMITTING
Use your class materials and trusted sources to check what AI tells you.
Ask yourself:
• Can I explain every sentence?
• Can I locate the evidence myself?
• Does the response match the assignment?
• Would I feel comfortable telling my teacher how I used AI?
Integrity means being able to stand behind the work you submit.
