North Jersey has had 42 presidents. Currently, we have 25 Past Presidents that are still living. Of the 25,15 are still active in North Jersey and 3 are active in other chapters.

Administration Highlights

• The whole Chapter attended the 29^th National Convention in Cincinnati, OH
• The Chapter was made up of 35 members
• Sponsored Diana Ross and the Supremes in concert at Newark Symphony Hall
• Tutored young boys living at St.Timothy’s House in Newark
• Advisors to collegiate chapters
• Delta Teen Lift became a national and chapter initiative

Administration Highlights

• Celebrated the Chapter’s 60^th Anniversary
• Reestablished the Chapter’s International Awareness presence by working with the Bermuda Chapter to host a joint Booknic
• Gave out $26,000 in scholarships to high school students
• Hosted Summit 5 to discuss clinical depression
• Held a Health Fair at Lackawanna in Montclair with over 300 attendees
• Worked with the Jersey City Chapter of the NAACP to register people to vote
• The chapter's first website was developed
• Brought new members into the chapter

• Concentrated on voter registration
• Hosted the 2^nd Scholarship Benefit
• Focused on Mental and Physical Health Programmatic Thrust
• Visited facilities of youth whose families could not and would not take care of them
• Wrote rules and procedures for the Chapter

• Served during the sorority’s centennial year and celebration
• The Chapter participated in a reenactment of the March 3^rd Women’s Suffrage March in Washington, DC
• Hosted the Chapter’s 50^th Scholarship Luncheon and presented $50,000 in scholarships to deserving students. The most scholarships ever presented.
• Hosted the Chapter’s first Small Business Saturday
• Hosted May Week featuring Honorary Member Suzanne Douglas and National Chaplain Bishop Vashti Murphy-McKenzie

Administration Highlights

• Finalized and approved the chapter logo
• Collaborated with many organizations including Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc, Habitat for Humanity, the Boys and Girls Club, and Essex County College
• The Chapter’s herstory submission was featured on the regional website
• Developed a digital chapter newsletter
• Created the chapter stroll
• Welcomes new members in 2017
• Hosted a leadership retreat and chapter committee fair

• Organized the State’s President’s Council and chaired the first meeting
• Established the first chapter newsletter
• Led a partnership with the American Red Cross by establishing the first blood bank connection
• Appointed the first chair of the Arts and Letters Committee
• The chapter received a Regional Award for executing the sorority’s 5 point program
• Spearheaded the Turkey Trot fundraiser which was the main fundraiser of that time
