The Dancing Stars Summer Camp (rising 1st graders-rising 6th graders)

*Although approved by the appropriate authorities,, all dates are subject to cancellation under the discretion of DCPS and DGS. In the rare case of cancellation due DCPS/DGS cancellation, if the prospective relocation of the camp within a mile of the initial site proves unfeasible, full refunds for funds and fees will be issued.

FAQs

What are the TFS Camp Session hours?

• Camp day Is 9:00am-3:00pm
• Before care Is 8:00am-9:00am for $10 a day (must be enrolled all week)
• After-camp Is 3:00-6:00 pm and Is $200 for 5-day sessions and $160 for a 4-day session.

What are the costs and fees?

• There Is a non-refundable $15 camp membership fee per week/per family to be able to register for all summer camps
• There Is non-refundable $100 deposit for each camp session; All other camp fees are are not refundable after May 1st, 2026
• Some camps may include a non-refundable materials fee. Please refer to the specific camp details for more information.
• To switch a camp after May 1st, there Is $35 administrative fee some camps may include a non-refundable materials fee. Please refer to the specific camp details for more information.
• Each camp Is individually priced and varies. Please reference calendar below.
• “The Future Stars” After Camp Is $200 for all 5-day sessions. TFS After-Camp is $160 for a 4-day session.

• After-camp Is our version of traditional after-care. "The Future Stars" After-Camp brought to you straight from the team of talented teachers of "The Future Stars Enrichment Program.” This after-camp option is great for:

• Those camper's whose day camp does not offer an aftercare option
• Campers who want to try a "taste" of some of the offerings "the future stars" day camp has to offer
• Those campers who may not need a full-day camp option

• After-Camp offers a variety of engaging activities each day, including sports, art, STEM, LEGO, dance, and drama.
• After-Camp is available at a discounted rate for campers enrolled in a TFS day camp and serves as aftercare for those participating in After-Camp.
• If your child Is registered In a TFS day camp, after-camp will be available as an add-on during registration.

Transfer Policy

You may transfer to any other TFS camp at no charge until May 1, 2026. After May 1, a $35 transfer fee will apply

Refund Policy

Camp fees, excluding the registration fee and the non-refundable deposit, are refundable up until May 1st, 2026. After May 1st, no refunds will be issued. Additionally, any camp that requires a material fee, that fee will be non-refundable.

Behavior Policy

We are committed to working closely with parents to address and resolve any behavioral issues that may arise during camp. However, if a child’s behavior poses a danger to themselves, other campers, or staff, they will be removed from camp. In such cases, no refunds will be issued.

Illness and Injury Policy

We understand that illnesses and injuries can happen, and your child’s well-being is our top priority. While we are unable to provide refunds for missed days due to illness or injury, we will do everything we can to support your child during their time away and ensure a smooth transition back to camp when they are ready.

The Future Stars Sports Camp

PK-4th

Run, play, and compete at TFS Sports Camp! From football and basketball to golf and beyond, campers experience a wide range of sports in a fun and encouraging environment. Each day focuses on building skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship while keeping kids active and engaged. Whether trying a sport for the first time or sharpening existing skills, every camper is supported and challenged to do their best.

Move IT Sports Camps

PK-5th

Let’s Move! Our Sports Camp is designed to inspire leadership, teamwork, and a love for physical activity. Campers will develop essential skills, build confidence, and deepen their understanding of sports in a supportive and engaging environment. Weekly sessions focus on one specific sport, including basketball, lacrosse, or multisports, ensuring a dynamic and tailored experience for every young athlete.

Strength & Conditioning Camp

5th-8th

Our Strength & Conditioning Camp is a fun, high-energy program designed to help young athletes get stronger, faster, and more confident. Campers will learn proper movement and technique through age-appropriate workouts, games, and challenges. Athletes will be exposed to multiple training styles, including strength training, speed and agility drills, balance and coordination work, core strength, and team competitions.

STEM Academy

PK-5th

Elite Playmakers Soccer & STEM Camp combines high-level soccer training with hands-on STEM challenges to develop confident, well-rounded leaders. Campers sharpen their footwork, teamwork, and game strategy on the field while exploring engineering, problem-solving, and innovation off the field. Each day blends physical activity and brain power, helping players understand how science and strategy drive athletic performance. Perfect for curious, active kids who love soccer and want to think like playmakers on and off the pitch.

Dragonfly Dojo Camp

K-5th

• At Dragonfly Dojo camp, we teach Traditional Korean Martial Arts with a modern upbeat approach.
• The foundation is built on discipline and respect.
• Students are taught proper punching, kicking and tumbling techniques.
• As they progress through the curriculum, empty hand forms and self defense techniques are taught and then tested prior to promotion to their next Belt Rank.
• At the end of each session, campers will perform in demonstrations to showcase their talents.

The dancing Stars" camp is a mixed- age camp that teaches dance and intro to gymnastics. Early dancers will be introduced to dance concepts, dance technique, and flexibility training while exploring dance through age appropriate activities such as stories, games, and more. Dancers will learn choreography.

​

Older dancers will experience what is called a "dance intensive." Dancers will learn dance technique, flexibility training, and dance conditioning. Dancers will also learn choreography. ALL ages will receive intro to gymnastics instruction (no tumbling) that focuses on gymnastics concepts such as flexibility, core strength, balance, upper and lower-body strength, and power using intro apparatus.

Theatreworkz Musical Theater Camp

K-5th

TheatreWorkz Camp is a week musical theatre program that provides children with a unique experience in performing arts. We train students in stage presence, acting, role play, costumes, makeup, props, stage design and the many aspects of theater. At the end of the week there will be a short stage play.

Arts Life Camps

PK-5th

Children’s Art Camp provides a nurturing space for young artists to explore multiple art forms through guided and open-ended projects. Campers build creative skills, confidence, and independence while experimenting with diverse materials. The program emphasizes exploration, collaboration, and self-expression. All children are welcome, regardless of experience level.

Film-Making Camp

2nd - 6th

• In Film Camp: Director’s Cut, students become the stars of their own creative adventure!
• Working in teams, they’ll take the lead— crafting unique themes, plots, and titles—while the Film Camp Team brings their visions to life on the big screen for all of the camps to see in out end of the week Film Festival viewing.
• Get ready for a week packed with exciting creative projects, visual storytelling, and loads of fun! This dynamic and immersive summer camp promises your children an unforgettable experience they won’t want to miss.
• All films get uploaded on to our YouTube channel for your kids to watch back over and over again as well as have viewing parties with their families.

Future Chefs Camp

PK-5th

Cooking Camp is a one-week ORGANIC cooking experience where children will have fun learning via the art of Cooking. These young chefs will:

• Read and interpret recipes mix and measure
• Safely learn chopping and cutting techniques
• Learn about different cooking techniques such as stewing, baking, steaming, boiling, simmering, and etc
• Visit, use, and learn about local food merchants
• And so much more!

PLUS! ALL SNACKS AND LUNCHES ARE INCLUDED AND WILL BE MADE EXCLUSIVELY IN COOKING CAMP (no need to send a bagged lunch).

Most food will be created from organic ingredients.

2-week Performance Camp Session Offered

• The Dancing Stars Performance Camp is exclusively for students in grades 1 through 6 (rising 1st graders and rising 6th graders are welcome).
• This camp builds on the energy and excitement of the weekly 'Dancing Stars' dance and gymnastics camp by adding focused, intensive choreography.
• Over the course of two weeks, campers will work hard to perfect their routines, culminating in a special performance for their families at the end of camp. There will be a separate gymnastics showcase

Audio Engineering/ Coding Camp

2nd-6th

• Get ready for a fun-filled summer at Sound Explorers, where kids will explore the exciting worlds of sound and coding! Whether it’s making awesome beats, designing cool sound effects, or learning how to code, this camp is all about creativity and hands-on fun!
• At Sound Explorers, campers will get to play with real audio equipment like beat machines, microphones, and computers to make their own music and sound designs. They’ll learn how to create their own songs, mix sound, and even experiment with audio effects, all while having a blast!
• But that's not all! Campers will also dive into the world of coding. From simple coding games on Scratch Jr. to building projects with Minecraft, they’ll start learning the basics of how to code in a fun and easy way. We’ll even do some typing games to help them get comfortable on the computer.
• Whether they’re making their own beats or building their first code project, Sound Explorers is the perfect place for kids to get creative with sound and technology!

The Future Stars After-Camp

K-5th (3pm-6pm)

Future Stars Adventures Camp is the perfect blend of learning, creativity, and exploration! Each morning, campers participate in engaging arts and crafts and hands-on enrichment activities designed to keep young minds sharp and help prevent the summer slide. Through fun, intentional activities, children will continue building academic, social, and creative skills—all while having a great time.

In the afternoons, the adventure begins! Every day, campers will head out to explore some of Washington, DC’s coolest and most enriching destinations. Using public transportation, children will learn independence, city navigation skills, and real-world responsibility while visiting museums, parks, cultural landmarks, and hidden gems around the city.

TFS Jr. Counselor Camp

6th-8th

Aspiring leaders, grades rising 6th-8th, will cultivate essential leadership skills while immersing themselves in their preferred camp activities. Jr. Counselors will:

• begin the day with a leadership activity with their preferred TFS Camp Program
• Jr. Counselors will assist and help lead their preferred TFS Camp program alongside their favorite adult counselors
• Jr. Counselors will participate in team-building activities, mindfulness activities, weekly Jr. Counselor luncheons, awards ceremony, and our weekly TFS Carnival
