Is there a workaround that's better? Can I swap or replace?

• Is it actually faulty? �Don’t disassemble a toaster. First: turn upside down, shake, then switch on.
• Is there an alternative way of doing it? Coffee grinder:�Buying ready-ground may be better for the planet than repairing?
• Has the useful life of the item ended? Newer devices may serve us better. Keeping an old device operating can waste resources. Is it worth the effort?
