VICTOR

• VICTOR is meant to be a platform for every step of the computational process.
• Here, you can write, run, and analyze models and their associated data.
• Software libraries connect you to every corner of the cloud.

• VICTOR will help volcanologists at universities and observatories to find, use, compare, and link models of eruption processes by providing a central access portal and standardized workflows based on a JupyterHub environment.

A document that mixes code and rich text, allowing for both explanation and execution in one place.

BACKGROUND ON VICTOR

In order to register for the VICTOR hub, you must possess a GitHub account.

• Navigate to GitHub.com/SignIn and enter your information to create an account.

• Next, navigate to victor.ldeo.columbia.edu in your browser, and follow the signup button on the far right of the navigation menu.
• Complete the Google Form.

HOW TO REGISTER

• You will receive an invite to the inbox of the email you used to sign up. Accept the invite, then return to victor.ldeo.columbia.edu and click “Hub Portal” in the navigation menu
• Sign in using your credentials.

To get started with VICTOR, open a new terminal

After opening a new terminal, follow these steps to run a victor set up command .

Input the number correlating to each model (our lab will use MOLASSES, MrLavaLoba and IMEX

You will find the folder for the model added to your files. Repeat these steps for each model.
