BASD Summer Camps 2024

REGISTRATION: All registrations are due by Friday, April 26th, 2024. To register your child for this camp, please complete the → ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM linked here

CAMP CONFIRMATION & PAYMENT: In order for the summer camp to run, a minimum number of students must enroll. By Friday, May 10th, you will receive a confirmation email. This email will also provide a link for you to submit your online payment through EZ School Pay. All payments are due by Tuesday, May 28th, 2024. If payment is not received by the deadline, your enrollment will be canceled.

COST: $100 per participant

This camp is designed for any student who wants to practice drawing techniques and build their art portfolio! They will work with an art instructor on mastering their technique, as well as receive guidance on AP Art preparation and/or college portfolios.

DRAWING/ART PORTFOLIO CAMP

RUNNING OF THE CUBS - ADVANCED

This camp is for students who have prior experience with running! We will focus on increasing cardiovascular endurance and speed by incorporating a variety of runs into our workouts. The students will learn how to set a running goal and design a short-term running program.

EXPLORE BOYERTOWN ART

This camp is a walking tour of the art experiences offered right here in Boyertown. Campers will be led on a guided tour of some of the hidden treasures within walking distance of the high school. Each stop will be accompanied by a hands on, site specific, drawing lesson. Sketchbooks, pencils, and drawing kits will be provided.

COST: $110 per participant

This camp is an introduction to the basics of printmaking! Printmaking involves transferring an image onto another surface. The students will practice with monotypes, gelli printing, linoleum block prints and collagraphs. Please bring a drink & snack. All art materials will be provided.

PRINTMAKING ART EXPLORATION

DATES: July 22nd to 25th

TIME: 8:30am to 11:30am

COST: $125 per participant

DAY ONE: financial literacy, budgeting, credit cards, credit score, & scams

DAY TWO: insurance, economic models used by businesses, debt, investing

DAY THREE: real estate, renting, stocks, mutual funds, roth/traditional IRA’s

DAY FOUR: scenarios to bring knowledge together and guest speakers

FINANCIAL LITERACY BOOT CAMP
