jackie Robinson was born on January 31, 1919, he was the youngest of 5 children. He was born in Georgia, Cairo. At the time, if you were black it was a scary time to live in Georgia so they moved to southern California. They heard it was better there. But it still was not completely safe there, there is still segrashion there, but not as much as in Georgia

Sports

Jackie Robinson played a lot of other sports besides baseball, he played tennis for a little bit, dodgeball at school, track, football, he played quarterback on the football team, basketball, he played guard on the basketball team, and of course he played baseball, he played shortstop on the baseball team.

Baseball

He was very good at dodgeball so every one wanted him on his team. He started playing playing in the negro leag in majors. He was very fast, and he could hit the ball far but he always wanted to play in the professional league. When he moved in a girl about the same age as him said something very mean

To him but he ignored her and went back to his house.

1942 was his best season, his average was about 320 and he also broke his record in stealing bases, and almost beat his record in most home runs. He broke his record in most hits and most runs batted in. he made it to the hall of fame . he also was the first black person to play in the professional league. He is a big hero, he changed the woorld

He is the youngest of 5 children , they are Mack Robinson, Sharon Robinson, Willa Robinson, and David Robinson. There mother and father are Jarry Robinson and Mallie Robinson.

Jackie Robinson is a very awesome person, he let all the black people play any sport they want like baseball soccer. He is a amazing. He married a girl named Rachel, and they lived happy together. They had 2 children who were also very happy.
