POSA: Parent Workshops

Volunteer Requirement

POSA holds several meets at our facility throughout the season. We hold dual meets (with another team- required by conference rules) and intrasquad meets (POSA swimmers only). Each meet requires a number of parent volunteers to help with:

  • Lane Timing
  • Concessions
  • Deck Monitoring
  • Heat Winner Table & Runner
  • Announcing
  • Clean-Up & More

Volunteer Commitments are assigned PER FAMILY, not each swimmer.

Volunteers must be 18 years of age, or older.

​

Ex: If you and your spouse both volunteer for a home meet, you can fill two of your required slots.

Our Meet Director will determine how many times each family will need to volunteer each season.

(# of job positions x # of meets /# of families)

* On average, each family will volunteer 3-4 times each season.

Volunteering is mandatory.

  • Families that do not fulfill their volunteer obligation will be charged $400 at the end of the season.
  • This amount is NOT prorated for partial fulfillment.
  • We would much rather have you volunteer than to charge your account.

How do I sign up to volunteer?

At a specified date, our Meet Director will announce when the job positions will open up for sign-up.

  • Log in to your TeamUnify (www.posaeagles.org) account.
  • Go to Calendar > Meets & Events > Team Events > Job Sign Up
  • Click the box next to the job for which you would like to volunteer
  • Enter your name AND cell number in the box
  • Click SAVE
