Welcome Back to Special Olympics

Our goal is simple: build a team where athletes can compete, grow, and belong.

• Fall is the start of another great season for Liberty Hill ISD Special Olympics.

• We currently offer Bowling and Pickleball during the fall.

• Athletes will have opportunities to practice, develop skills, and compete.

• Our program is about more than sports—it is about confidence, friendships, teamwork, and community.

Our Fall Sports

Liberty Hill ISD Special Olympics • 2026–2027

BOWLING

• Fall sport for our younger athletes and athletes who prefer a more structured event.��• Athletes learn bowling skills while building consistency and confidence.��• Practices lead toward Special Olympics competition.

PICKLEBALL

• Fall sport designed for our older athletes (secondary) that is familiar with the game��• Focuses on movement, skills, strategy, and competition.��• A great opportunity for athletes who want to try something different.

Who Can Participate?

Liberty Hill ISD Special Olympics • 2026–2027

• Athletes who are 8 years old or older may officially participate in the Special Olympics Texas program when eligibility requirements are met.

  • Special Olympics participation is open to persons with intellectual disabilities. For purposes of determining eligibility, a person may qualify if identified by an agency or professional as having an intellectual disability; has a cognitive delay determined through standardized measures such as IQ testing or other generally accepted measures; or has a closely related developmental disability involving functional limitations in both general learning and adaptive skills. Persons whose functional limitations are based solely on a physical, behavioral, emotional, specific learning, or sensory disability are not eligible to participate as Special Olympics athletes.

• Athletes under 8 who have an intellectual disability will not be able to practice this season due to bowling guideline butare welcome to practice with our team during track and participate in our Liberty Hill district track meet in the spring.

First-Time Registration

If your athlete has never registered with Special Olympics Texas, start here.

1. CREATE AN ACCOUNT

Go to the Special Olympics Center of Excellence (COE) Portal and create a Parent/Guardian account.�

2. REGISTER YOUR ATHLETE

Complete your athlete's registration and required Health History & Release information in the COE.

3. SEND ME A COPY

Download a copy of the completed registration and email it to Coach Mack so I can review it and add your athlete to our Liberty Hill delegation.

Already Registered?

Liberty Hill ISD Special Olympics • 2026–2027

• You do not need to start over with a brand-new athlete registration.

• Log in to the Center of Excellence Portal and complete the required renewal or updated information for the new season.

• Download a copy of the completed registration after you finish.

• Email the completed copy to Coach Mack so your athlete can be connected to the Liberty Hill ISD delegation for the 2026–2027 season.

• If you have trouble accessing your account, contact Coach Mack before creating a second account.

What Happens After You Register?

Liberty Hill ISD Special Olympics • 2026–2027

STEP 1

Coach Mack reviews your registration and verifies that the required information is complete.

STEP 2

You receive an invitation through the Center of Excellence to join the Liberty Hill ISD Special Olympics delegation. You are also added to our Special Olympics email list.

STEP 3

Accept the invitation and watch for team communication about practices, schedules, and competitions.

Important Registration Reminders

• Special Olympics registration is handled through the Center of Excellence Portal.

• Please use the same email address each season whenever possible.

• In most cases, a physician's physical is not required; Special Olympics Texas may request additional medical information in some cases.

• If you are already registered, please complete your renewal/updated information rather than creating a duplicate account.

• Please email Coach Mack after completing registration so I know your athlete is ready to be added to our delegation.
