2015 Hadoop Maturity AssessmentPreliminary Results

2 of 36

Goal, Benefits and Methodology

  • Goal: The “State of Hadoop Maturity” assessment is designed to provide a global view of Hadoop maturity by industry, workload and geography.
  • Benefits: Respondents are able to use their results to benchmark their efforts against industry peers. They get their individual stage result immediately after taking the survey and receive a fully aggregated report at the end of the survey period.
  • Methodology: AtScale partnered with a survey expert and Wayne Eckerson to build a 20-question methodology that allows for the scoring of each respondent. Cloudera, Tableau and MapR have partnered with AtScale to promote the survey and help turn it into the industry’s first and largest multi-party Hadoop assessment.
