Evaluation - Your point of view

  • I think that they need a boat so they can go fishing. They need it to make food for their family. If they don’t have a boat they can not get food for them to eat. They can die without food. When they go fishing the boat can sink or it can tip over. The people in the boat can drown for letting the boat sink. When they make a boat they can get more fish and go sell it to other people that have no food.
  • They will catch maybe 200 fish. If they don’t catch the fish by night time they can not see where the fish are going.
  • Because…So they can make food for their family, and they can go fishing fast and then given to the mother in the market when the mother need more fish.

My evidence shows this… (justify your point of view)

  • Most families own a Thung Chai
  • Thung Chai ferry passengers between their boat and the shore.
  • Thung Chai’s are used for many of things like for fishing, going to the other side and many other things.
  • Thung Chai are very easy to launch. You just roll it on it’s side into the water.
  • Thung Chai’s are made for people to go places and get some food.
  • Thung Chai’s are made for children and adult’s only.
  • Thung Chai are easy to handle and to store sometimes.

Evaluation - Your point of view

I think that It’s important to them to move from cities that were overcrowded. It is important to leave to go to the US so they can not get disease and sickness. They have to go to where there families are and look after them.

Because: They need their family’s so so bad. They miss them so so much. So they go to the US to see them. I took them days and days to get to the US.

My evidence shows this… (They need to sail from another boat it was only small.)

Why are boats important to different communities?

Assess why boats can be important to different communities. Think about the importance of thung chai to Thanh and his family and the importance of the Titanic to the people of the UK.

So why are boats important? Because people can get many fish if they are hungry. They also need it to get to the other side. So they can see their family. because they probably they have not seen them in a very very very long time. They were missing them so so much.

Evaluation - Your point of view

I think that? They needed it because they will have no other way to go to the other side or the other cities.

Because? If they don’t get it they might die when they go for fishing without a boat to go for fishing with.

My evidence shows this? Because the other people care for them and love them. and some people want to go to other cities but they can’t because they don’t have a titanic to cross to the other cities.
