Introduction |
The School Inventory Report provides valuable insight into the digital citizenship and IT support processes in a school and district.. The school inventory questions are the key benchmarks that VILS uses to provide support to schools, and to inform new schools. Completing the school inventory becomes a collaboration of the VILS Coach and School IT. Two inventory checks take place per year: one in January and one in June. |

Mid-Year Meeting: A meeting that occurs in December or January, during which the school reports the current status to the VILS Team. End-of-Year Meeting: A meeting that occurs in May or June, during which the school reports the current status to the VILS Team. Functioning Devices: Devices that are currently in use by students or teachers, as well as functioning buffer devices. This includes devices that are replacements for lost, stolen and broken devices. Damaged Device: A device that is currently broken or has a mechanical failure. Lost Device: A device that is misplaced or forgotten by the person to whom it was assigned. This is a dynamic number as some of the lost devices may be found. Stolen Device: A device that has been taken by someone other than the person to whom it was assigned. The device cannot be retrieved from the person who took it. In some school districts, a police report needs to be generated to verify that the device has been stolen.
