How to Update Your Chromebook

  • Log into your Chromebook with your student rialtousd.org email and password.
  • After logged into the Chromebook you will be see the screen below. Click in the area near the clock.

  • Click on the settings “gear” icon.

  • Click on the three lines labeled “Settings” on the upper right hand side.

  • On the lower left hand side select“About Chrome OS”.

  • Select the “Check for updates” button.

  • If your device is out of date you will see “Updating your device” as shown below.
  • Let device update to 100%

  • Once the device has updated you will see “Your Chromebook is up to date”.
  • Congratulations, your Chromebook is updated!
