  • Title III is a $2.2 million Strengthening Institutions Program (SIP) grant awarded by the Department of Education. The grant supports Highline programs and projects aligned with closing student equity gaps in courses and program completion.

  • Title III Strategies and Objectives align with Highline College MFR, Degree Pathways, and Mission/Vision/Values.

Title III Objectives

Objective 1

    • Increase pass rates in key degree-required courses (overall, and disaggregated for Black and Hispanic students)

Objective 2

    • Increase pass rates in key gateway (Prof-Tech) courses (overall, and disaggregated for Black and Hispanic students)

Objective 3

    • Increase percent of Black and Hispanic students completing 30 credits in their first year.

Objective 4

    • Increase Fall to Fall retention rates for all students.

Objective 5

    • Increase three and six year graduation rates for all students.

    • Increase number of newly enrolled students meeting with an Entry Advisor

Objective 7

    • Faculty and Staff will attend professional development to close equity gaps (data literacy and equity & inclusion)
