Food and drink policy

Generally, my class permits food and drinks, provided they do not disrupt the learning environment and as long as students demonstrate responsible behavior. However, please note that this policy is subject to my discretion and may be modified at any given time.

Retesting is allowed after any major unit

assessment for any student who scores 79 or

lower. Retesting must be completed prior to

the next major assessment. The original score

will count as 1/4, and the retest score will

count as 3/4 of the final score.

In order to retest, a student must:

  1. Notify the teacher in person or via email that you would like to retest.
  2. Complete all missing assignments from the unit.
  3. Complete test corrections on separate

paper attached to the original test.

  1. Complete all quiz corrections on separate papers attached to the original quiz(es).
  2. Turn in missing assignments, test corrections, and quiz corrections in

person. At that time, schedule your retest. This must be done by Wednesday prior to the Friday you are wishing to retest.

Retesting

Refer to Google Classroom for the instructional sequence.

Google Classroom contains all the information you need for the entire year, including subject material, study sequence, quizzes, and tests. Please use it as your guide to follow the order of topics throughout the year.

Expectations

  1. Be on time.
  2. Be prepared.
  3. Be respectful.
  4. Be polite.
  5. Be responsible.

Brashier Middle College cell phone policy likely aligns with the South Carolina Department of Education's model policy, which prohibits student access to personal electronic devices during the school day. This

means phones and other devices must be turned off or silenced and stored out of sight during instructional time. Exceptions may exist for specific situations like emergency communication with parent/guardian permission or for students with disabilities who need the devices for learning.

Chromebooks will be used frequently in class. Students should bring Chromebooks fully charged to school each day and use the device ONLY for the instructional purpose assigned by the teacher.
