The Wedding Garments

Matthew 22:10–12

Matthew 22:10–12 NIV

[10] So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.

[11]“But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. [12] He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless.

God invites us all to His Kingdom.

We must wear the right clothes

What clothes should we wear to go to God’s kingdom?

Without Jesus, we have no excuse

• God’s invitation is for you too. He wants you to be part of His great feast. (To be with Him in heaven)
• Put on Jesus’ clothes. This means that you tell Jesus that you need Him and that you believe in Him.
• Live as if you are on His team. Don’t forget whose clothes you are wearing!

Prayer

Thank You so much for inviting us to Your feast. Thank you for sending Jesus to us so that we can wear the right clothes to go to heaven. Help us to live each day in such a way that everyone can see that we are part of Jesus' team.
