The teacher no longer needs to be the one and only expert in the classroom. The Internet provides a wealth of information, and a lot of it is even accurate and useful. Bonus - teach students the skill of discernment.

Personal devices can be used in any number of ways. From taking photos and data while completing an mlearning unit in the field to measuring temperatures and dimensions.

The classroom is no longer bound by space or time. Students can collaborate with each other after school is out. Students can collaborate with their peers in another school in the same district. Students can collaborate with students in another country and timezone. Consider the implications of a student in the United States collaborating on a weather/climate unit with someone in the southern hemisphere.
