Summer School Dates:

  • June 16- July 22
  • No School - June 19th and July 4th

Dropping the course

To drop this course prior to the first day, please email Ms. Morita

Any student who does not login to the Apex Online Summer School Course during the first week will be automatically dropped and the counselor will enroll the student into an Apex course during freshman year.

Expectations

  1. Students should follow and keep up with assigned OUSD pacing guide. If work is not completed by the final day, the student will receive a zero for any uncompleted assignment. No make up work will be accepted after the final day of summer school.
  2. Students must have a secure internet connection and device to complete work online.
  3. Students must complete all work by July 22.
  4. Grades will be submitted July 23
  5. The grade that the students earn at the closing of the term will be recorded on the student’s official transcript.

Teacher/Testing Day Assignment

  • Student will only come to campus on their assigned testing day.
  • Attendance will be taken on the students assigned testing day.
  • Testing time slots:
    • Monday - Thursday
      • Session 1: 7:45 - 9:45 a.m.
      • Session 2: 10:00 - 11:45 a.m.
      • Support Session: 11:15-12:00 p.m.

Teacher/Testing Day Assignment

  • Below is a link to days and times by student ID for reference.
  • Tests will take students approximately 30-45 minutes
  • Students will sign up for google classroom the first day of class for updates and communication with teachers.

Grading

  • Grade Range: A+ to F
  • Credits: 2.5
  • This course is original credit and a student who does poorly will keep that record on their official transcript.
  • Any student who does not login to the Apex Online Health Course by the second week will be automatically dropped and the counselor will enroll the student into an Apex Health course during freshman year.

  • Use a web browser to access the internet (There is no app for this class)

How to log into Apex

When can I login and see my Apex class?

SUPER IMPORTANT

THE APEX Health PLATFORM WILL NOT BE

ACCESSIBLE TO STUDENTS UNTIL THE

FIRST DAY OF CLASS ON

JUNE 16 at 12:00 p.m

The first week will be used to troubleshoot and work, not testing unless the student requests to.

Test Make-ups & Support

Students who have to miss a testing session or need support can come in daily, contact the teacher in advance.

Washington DC Students

  • Must start work on Apex the day of return.
  • Students must be caught up with pacing guide by July 3
  • All DC student must attend inseat sessions starting on the week of Monday June 22 to their assigned teacher.
