Problem Statement

Joffrey purchased a new 3D printer recently, and wants to make some cool parts! Unfortunately, his purchase left him with very little money to buy the actual filament… he purchased a whole 20 grams…

He wants to print out this chameleon keychain for his backpack, and he needs your help to get it ready to print (so he can show it off to all of his totally real friends).

Objectives

Your objectives for this week are:

  • Save the “PrintInOnekychain.stl” from this link

​

  • Open the file in Cura, an open-source slicer software from Ultimaker we commonly use for 3D Prints

​

  • Without changing the size of the model, adjust the settings such that it can be printed using less than 20g of Generic PLA filament.

​

Submit a screenshot in Slack DMs of the sliced estimates (see next slide) by Tuesday, Oct. 1st
