  • Covid Lockdowns (sort of) ended.
  • We were back to “in-person” learning.
  • Gyms, hockey rinks were open for me again!

I’d sum up 2021 with the word FREEDOM

  • My writing got so much better.
  • I spent more time at the gym and played hockey throughout the autumn.

  • You will need to choose one you like (one that “speaks to you”.)
  • Task Three
  • When you are ready, go to the Padlet that has been shared in Google Classroom
  • Put you name in the heading
  • Add a picture of your quote...or type it out.
  • With one sentence, explain why that quote is motivational or meaningful for you. Try this sentence starter: “This quote reminds me that…”

  • Reflect on the ideas you’ve explored over the past few days.
  • Start with a simple word and use this thesaurus to find a synonym that fits more perfectly.
  • You can also search #OneWord examples for inspiration
  • Here is the #OneWord21 work, the #OneWord22 work #OneWord23 & #OneWord24 choices
  • Optional Task 5 - flip through these One Word Posters. Which are the best?
  • If you want to decide without influence, it is okay not to flip through these many choices.

  • We are going to use the website Canva and Google Draw to create our #OneWord Posters. This is the link to mine.
  • Be sure you are accessing our Canva Education Class - use this account, it has more features than the Free one.
  • Task 6 - You’ll select a background and edit it to include your #OneWord25 and your name.
  • Then, download it and move it to our slide deck for printing - no gifs
  • Evaluation here.

Place the word #OneWord25 or #OneWord2025 on your Poster

Put your name on it. I forgot and added mine on the Google Slide after. (Subtle is best)

Think about the font choice, colour, size and placement of your #OneWord (Theme)

Consider your background image with the theme with your #OneWord in mind.

  • Share a few paragraphs about your #OneWord choice and how you will use it to guide you through 2024
  • After you have edited it with Google Tools, place it on our Collaborative Classroom Slide Deck with your Snow Globe Shapegram (shared in Google Classroom) containing your #OneWord
