Helpful Hints after the test.

  • This is not a permit!! It is verification that the State Written Exam was passed. Students cannot drive with this.
  • Store Examination Printout in a safe place! It is not easy to get a duplicate.
  • Make copies for future reference. Duplicates for insurance purposes will not be provided. Take a picture with your phone. Send to email.
  • Do not laminate.

  • If you plan on taking driving lesson
    • You may contact a driving school now. They will take you through the next few steps.

  • If you are not planning on taking driving lessons
    • When you turn 17, you may take the Blue State Examination card to MVC, with appropriate documentation and fees and get your permit on your own.

Permit Restrictions- Special Learner’s Permit

Bridgewater Raritan High School

  • No driving between 11:01 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
  • You can’t use cell phones, hand held video games or any other hand held electronic device
  • You must be accompanied by an Adult Supervising Driver (at least 21 years old and licensed to drive for at least 3 years) in the front seat, NJ License.
  • Only one additional passenger is allowed.
  • Seatbelts must be worn at all times.
