Principles of Expressive Arts Therapy
Everyone is an artist (has an ability to imagine, create, and express)
Imagination is an ability to give colors and forms to what is invisible (what is in your unconscious). Everyone has this ability.
Intermodal transfer ( responding to an art work using another modality) enhances emotions and imagination.
Communicating with each other with the language of unconscious (arts) enhances one’s imagination ( what one wants to express). It also strengthen interpersonal relationship with each other.
