GOALS FOR THIS PRESENTATION

01

EXPLORE

4 of 25

    • The Moon orbits Earth at about 384,400 km — steady and exact.

    • It stabilizes Earth’s rotation and controls ocean tides.

    • Its reflection of sunlight reminds us that all light comes by permission

    • Qur’an (Ya Sin 36:39): “We have determined for it phases…” showing perfect divine control.

Facts about the Moon

COMPARE

6 of 25

    • Man-made machines that need fuel, power, and constant monitoring to stay in orbit.

    • Can break down, lose signal, or fall out of orbit, so they always need human repair and upgrades.

    • Designed for limited missions like communication, GPS, and weather tracking, then eventually fail or are replaced.

Artifical satellites

    • A natural satellite that orbits Earth with perfect consistency and balance.

    • Controls tides and helps stabilize Earth’s rotation over billions of years without any human maintenance

.

    • Reflects sunlight, marks months, and serves creation continuously as part of precise design.

The Moon

فَاللَّهُ خَيْرٌ حَافِظًا وَهُوَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

“So Allah is the best Guardian, and He is the Most Merciful of the merciful.”

(Yusuf 12:64)

QUESTION

8 of 25

Why is it that the Moon can orbit perfectly, control tides, and endure billions of years while artificial satellites remain static and break down?

The Moon maintains perfect balance through complex gravitational processes unlike inanimate satellites which are just man-made machines.

So basically, the Moon operates as part of a living cosmic system.

Answer !

Question !

9 of 25

So why is the Moon so perfect? And how did the Moon or other things come to be?

If the Moon's precision is why satellites can't match it, how did it become so perfectly balanced in the first place?

Science says molecules and forces just came together forming the first orbital system — but does that make sense? No!

10 of 25

Then, there must be a creator, right?!

Only a Creator who is uncreated could do such a thing — it breaks all logic otherwise.

The Moon's complex balance had to come from Allah SWT who put everything into motion.

    • Precise Design: The Moon’s exact size, distance, and orbit around Earth show careful planning and balance, not random chance.

    • Perfect Role: It controls tides, stabilizes Earth, and lights the night sky, proving it was created for clear purposes.

    • Continuous Obedience: The Moon never leaves its path and follows its phases exactly, reflecting how Allah’s creation submits to His command.

HOW DOES THE MOON LINK TO BEING FROM ALLAH (SWT)?

13 of 25

    • Al-Khāliq (The Creator)

Allah designed the Moon with perfect order in its orbit and phases, showing His power to create with precision.

    • An-Nūr (The Light)

The Moon only shines by reflecting the sun, reminding us that all true light and guidance come from Allah,

An-Nūr.

    • Al-Muqaddim (The One Who Brings Forward)

Allah brings the Moon forward phase by phase each month, on time, guiding our calendars and acts of worship.

How does the Moon reflect Allah’s names?

APPRECIATE

15 of 25

    • Through Dhikr: Say SubhanAllah when you see the Moon’s beauty.

    • Through Fikr: Reflect on its role as guidance in darkness.

    • Through Shukr: Follow the lunar calendar in worship and gratitude.

“The sun and the moon are two signs among the signs of Allah.”

How can we express gratitude?

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:

«إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ»

“The sun and the moon are two signs among the signs of Allah.” (Sahih al-Bukhari)

QUESTION TIME!!

18 of 25

Q1: Is the Moon just a random rock floating in space?

19 of 25

A: No, its precise orbit, phases, and benefits show it was created with purpose by Allah.

20 of 25

Q2: How does the Moon help us in our worship?

21 of 25

A: It sets the Islamic calendar for months like Ramadan and Eid, reminding us of Allah’s guidance.

22 of 25

Q3: What is A way the Moon helps us remember Allah?

23 of 25

A: When we see its phases and light in the sky, we can reflect on its design and say “SubhanAllah,” remembering that Allah is the One who created and controls it.
