Simple Future Tense:

  • The simple future tense is used to talk about actions or events that will happen in the future.
  • 1. Forming the Simple Future:
  • We use “will” + the base form of the verb.

•Positive sentence:Subject + will + base verb // Example: I will go to the store.

2. When to Use the Simple Future:

•To talk about future actions that haven’t been planned:

I think I will take a nap later.

•To make predictions:It will rain tomorrow.

•To make promises or offers:I will help you with your homework.

Examples: •

Negation rule with simple future

negative in the simple future tense, you add “not” after “will.” The structure is:

Subject + will + not + base form of the verb

Examples:

1. Positive: She will go to the store.

•Negative: She will not go to the store.

2. Positive: They will finish the project.

• Negative: They will not finish the project

.In spoken and informal English, “will not” is often contracted to “won’t.
