  • Provide networking opportunities and coordinate training activities
  • Establish a connection with the Carpentries and begin assembling Bioconductor-focused training material consistent with Carpentries guiding principles
  • Coordinate delivery of the developed training material at Bioconductor-related events, both in person and virtually.

Initiated efforts

Training modules being developed according to the Carpentries guiding principles:

bioc-intro: Introduction to R and data analysis, with a focus on omics data. Introduce selected Bioconductor objects, e.g., SummarizedExperiment.

bioc-project: Overview of Bioconductor-specific building blocks. Landing pages, vignettes, biocViews. Introduce additional base classes.

bioc-rnaseq: Analysis of RNA-seq data with Bioconductor packages.
