WHAT IS NON FICTION PROSE
Non fiction prose is a vast category that also has sub-genres; it could be creative like a personal essay, or factual, like a scientific paper. It may also use figurative language, however, not unlike poetry, or fiction has. Sometimes, non-fiction may tell a story, like an autobiography, or sometimes it may convey information to readers.
Non fiction prose is a type of writing which uses similar techniques as fiction to create an interesting piece of writing about real events.
Non fiction prose is based on events and people that are real and not on the author's imagination.
Non fiction prose consists of news reports, feature articles, essays, editorials, textbooks, historical & biographical works, or the other works describing or interpreting facts & presenting judgments & opinions.

SPECIFIC TYPES OF NON FICTION PROSE
An autobiography is the story of a person’s life, written or told by that person.
The author of an autobiography: tells about his or her own life experiences, writes in first-person point of view, using pronouns such as I, me, and we.

Example: “When I was twelve, I began volunteering at the local newspaper. I didn’t know it then, but my plan to avoid dance lessons by working at The Tribune two afternoons a week awakened in me a thirst for journalism. Now, twenty years later, though I’ve covered news stories in major cities all over the world, I still haven’t learned how to dance”
2. Biography
A biography is the story of a real person’s life, written or told by another person. thoroughly researches the subject’s life writes in third-person point of view, using pronouns such as he, she, and they.

Example: “An award-winning international journalist, Kathy Price discovered her love for news reporting when she was just twelve years old. To escape taking dance lessons, young Kathy convinced her parents that she would rather volunteer for the local newspaper twice a week. The Tribune taught her confidence and basic skills that are at the foundation of her career.”
3. Memoir
Some think that a autobiography is also a memoir; however, they are different. Like a biography a autobiography takes the reader through the whole life of that person, but from that persons point-of-view. A memoir is also written by the person that it is about, but it is only about one specific time or event in their lives.

A memoir is slightly different from an autobiography. Where an autobiography focuses on the "life and times" of the character, a memoir has a narrower, more intimate focus on his or her own memories, feelings and emotions.
Example: If I decided to write about my complete life up until this point – including growing up in Markham, the 5 years I spent in Waterloo, my time in Toronto and eventually landing my teaching job – I’d write an autobiography. If I wrote a book about getting my first teaching job, when I had to apply to over 150 positions – I’d write a memoir.

4. Journal
A journal is a continued series of writings made by a person in response to their life experiences and events. Diaries contain a description of daily events. A journal may include those descriptions, but it also contains reflections on what took place and expresses emotions and understandings about them. It doesn't matter what you call your writing, either a diary or journal, as long as you see the distinction between these two ways of writing.
5. Articles
Article must be fresh and written on subject or product which we wish to describe. Article writing service must be done by good writer who have strong knowledge in subject or products it describes. Example: Computers and Education in America-In the last decade, computers have invaded every aspect of education, from kindergarten through college. 6. Essay
An essay is a short piece of writing which is often written from an author's personal point of view. Essays can consist of a number of elements, including: literary criticism, political manifestos, learned arguments, observations of daily life, recollections, and reflections of the author. The definition of an essay is vague, overlapping with those of an article and a short story. Almost all modern essays are written in prose, but works in verse have been dubbed essays (e.g. Alexander Pope's An Essay on Criticism and An Essay on Man). While brevity usually defines an essay, voluminous works like John Locke's An Essay Concerning Human Understanding and Thomas Malthus's An Essay on the Principle of Population provide counterexamples.
7. Diary
Diaries can take many different forms, but essentially they remain a way of recording daily events. The more formal kinds of diary can be log books of experiments or journals of expeditions; however, the type with which most of us are familiar is the personal diary which records our day-to-day lives.

8. History
History is a nonfiction writing genre that describes true historical events and eras.
9. Letter
a symbol usually written or printed representing a speech sound and constituting a unit of an alphabet. 2a : a direct or personal written or printed message addressed to a person or organization. b : a written communication containing a grant —usually used in plural.
10. Travelogue
A travelogue is a film, book written up from a travel diary, or illustrated talk describing the experiences of and places visited by traveller. American writer Paul Theroux has published many works of travel literature, the first success being The Great Railway Bazaar.
