Kai Tsehay is a visionary Creative Entrepreneur, Freelance Photographer, and Producer originally from Washington D.C. and currently based in NYC. With a degree in Psychology from Spelman, she began her journey in 2016.
With a keen eye for detail and a passion for capturing captivating moments, she has become an expert in the world of event photography, specializing in live events, concerts, festivals, behind-the-scenes experiences, and the electrifying underground nightlife across major cities worldwide.
Throughout her career, Kai has had the privilege of working with numerous celebrities, industry leaders, and renowned music, media, and entertainment brands. Their work has produced breathtaking, evocative, and inspiring imagery that truly captures the essence of these diverse creative scenes.
However, her true passion lies in showcasing the energy and vibrancy of the black and brown underground live event/party communities. They firmly believe in the significance of capturing black people reveling in joy and having a great time.

Black Women Photographers (BWP) is global community founded in 2020 that aims to disrupt the notion that it is difficult to discover and commission Black creative specificall Black Women. As a member I coordinated w/ BWP to curate an inclusive photo-event for 70+ BWP in the NYC area to enhance skills and facilitate connections of the underrepresented. The event was held at Black Women owned studio -Sergeant Creative Studios in which I have provide creative consultation too.

Collective Gallery is photography-record label. We sign, develop, and help talent monetize their craft, from assistance with touring, merchandising, and content distribution partnered with Atlantic Records.
MY ROLE:
As an A&R I am Responsible for scouting new creative/photography talent for label to partner with commercial and brand clientele.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS; Scouted 2 of 3 first Women Photographers signed to label | Consultant and outreach w/ 30+ photographers every month | Assisted photographer/creatives access to multiple job opportunities out of 300 | Secured brand partnership w/ MESH Social Media Platform that is geared to allowing creattors to keep ownership and monetize their content
