Expenses

Individual and Team Budgets:

  • High Substitute usage due to COVID and Vacancies that have been filled over the last month. We should see a decline in Sub costs. Minimal “net / net” impact - cost of subs vs. “savings” of unfilled positions.
  • Budget analysis through Oct/Nov; adjustments as part of Budget Revise. Key areas: SPED, Operations and Tech, Contracted Services, Books and Supplies. We will be moving to a “pre-pay” model, as many expenditures in the second half of the year are for the upcoming school year.

Unbudgeted Expenses:

  • Substitute Teachers -
  • Campus Security - grant to be applied for this cost. Approximately $4000 per week for 2 full time guards
  • Legal

Revenues

ADA on Track:

  • Adding new students at Lodestar on a rolling basis;
  • Adding new students at Lighthouse HS
  • Attendance and Chronic Absentee strategies have improved attendance

New Grant:

  • BiPartisan Safety Grant - $700K this year; $2.1M total

ERC:

  • Maybe be revenue to this FY or next.
