Parent Process to Schedule Conferences

Schedule Parent Teacher Conferences through PowerPTC:

  1. First, create a PowerSchool account. (Same as Daily Certification Login)How to create a PowerSchool Account: Slides | English Video | Spanish Video
  2. If you have a Powerschool account already, then schedule your conference/s for your child/ren and request a translator if needed.�
  3. Print or email the conference schedule to yourself. The links on the schedule may be clicked on the night of conferences to start Virtual Google Meet conferences with your child’s teachers.

1. Login to

PowerSchool

Parent Portal

(You created your username and password)

4. In PowerPTC, select the 1st child to schedule, and select Attempt to Schedule.

5. Select a start date in the drop down menu

7. Select starting time and check the boxes next to the names of the teachers you want to meet for PT conferences.

9. Scheduling successful message appears.

10. To change the meeting type from Video Conference to In-Person, click on the icon under Meeting Type/Location, and select the preferred meeting type. The default type is Google Meet, so change each meeting if you want them to all be in-person. Leave them set to Video Conference, if you want them to all be virtual conferences.

11. After appointments are scheduled, you may add a Special Request for Spanish Translator. Click on the circle icon for each conference you request a Spanish translator and click the request button for each circle icon.

12. The icons turn green to show that a Spanish Translator Special Request was made. School Administrators will view special requests in Reports.

13. You have the option to Delete Schedule if you are not happy with the schedule and you may start over.

14. You may use these buttons to print a copy of the schedule, email the schedule to yourself, or add the appointments to your calendar.

15. If you have another child to schedule, select the name from the list and repeat the process.

16. PowerPTC is only used to create the schedule. Use the Google Meet link on your pdf or emailed schedule to launch a virtual conference with your child’s teacher at the scheduled time. The actual link starts with https://meet.google.com/…
