Strategies for co-location

  • Spatial compatibility (distance and local geography)
    • Grouping facilities by distance. (3,6 blocks away, a subway stop away etc.)
    • Grouping facilities by local geographies (NTA, CD, BG, CT etc.)
  • (City<>State) Agency compatibility
    • Grouping City and State facilities to encourage service pollination.
  • Service compatibility
    • Colocating facilities based on Frequently occuring city services - perhaps matching with 311 service vocabulary?
  • Citizen interaction compatibility
    • Grouping facilities based on the frequency of citizen interaction.
    • Consider a histogram of a citizen’s interaction with gov. facilities. - IDNYC, DMV, SNAP etc. (more interactions) vs Paratransit (fewer interactions)
