CAASPP Test Security Affidavit (Learning Zone)

1. You must sign up for the class if you have not already done so

2. Update teachers on who has taken the class and who needs to take the class

3. If you have not signed up, ask for the CAASPP Security Forms Teacher Training Document.

4. Once you have completed the learning zone course print out the certificate and give it to Kevin or Stephanie. You can email me at kms0150@lausd.net

Create/Distribute/Store Toms Account

1. Account will be created once you have submitted your security affidavit and turned in your learning zone certificate for completion of

2. Find the email and log in

3. Please put your password somewhere you will not lose it

School Testing Schedule

1. CAST will administered in Science Classes March 28 and 29.

2. Make ups will be given on March 30

3. Only given to 10th grade

4. If you only have a small amount of 10th grade students in a class, coordinate with another teacher

Testing Device Set up

Teacher

1. Goes to CAASPP.org

2. Logs in (Learning zone shows you how)

Student

A. Students click on CA

B. Students input information from login card

Testing Log In Cards (Students)

You need to print out labels and rosters for students

1. Log into MISIS

2. Click on Reports

3. In the lower right hand corner click on the arrow next to testing

4. Click on Smarter Balanced

5. Click on SBA Label and Student Roster

6. Choose the correct filters (See hand out)

Make up testing procedures and documentation

1. If a student is absent on day of CAST record that name and have them take the test on March 30

Location and procedures for checking out and returning secure test materials

1. Once teachers have printed out student in login information it must be kept in a secure location

2. Student login information is to be passed out to students before they log into into their testing browser

3. Student login information must be collected and the end of the period and kept in a secure location

Procedures for handling scratch paper

1. All scratch paper must be collected at the end of the period and destroyed

Procedures for notifying coordinator when test settings are not correct

1. If you need testing support before the day of the test email Kevin at kms0150@lausd.net

Examples include (certification requirements, trouble logging in, want to review how to administer a test, printing student testing information)

4. 2016 -2017 SBAC teacher training video

1. Pass out handout for SBAC teacher training enrollment. It is called 2016-2017 SBAC teacher training. Have teachers enroll in it.

2. Watch the video together

3. Have teachers take take the assessment. Print, email or copy certificate of completion
