WHAT IS A NOTICE?

  • IT IS A FORMAL WRITTEN DOCUMENT
  • IT GIVES INFORMATION ABOUT SOMETHING THAT IS ABOUT TO TAKE PLACE. However, it can also give information about an event that has already taken place.

Eg. Competitions,Meetings, holidays, trips ,cultural activity etc.

  • IT IS USUALLY MEANT FOR A WIDER AUDIENCE
  • IT IS USUALLY PUT UP IN A PUBLIC PLACE FOR EASY ACCESSIBLITY

Name of the organization

  • START WITH YOUR SCHOOL NAME AT THE TOP. USE OF CAPITAL LETTERS is PREFERRED

  • You should write the name of your organization right at the top. It helps the reader to decide whether the given information is important or not.

TITLE

  • Always mention the Title ‘NOTICE’ on top and underline it.

  • Since public places have plenty of posters, notices etc., it is necessary to have a bold title for it to be visible from a distance

  • Mention the date on the left hand side of the document.
  • Since it is a formal document, it is important to have the date as it stays on record.

in it by giving their names to the Art teacher latest by 20 July 2020. Drawing sheets will be provided

by the school.
