What is Golf Genius

1. A software platform used to manage over 9,700 golf clubs and associations worldwide including:
1. Bunker Hills for all its tournaments
2. Bunker Hills Mens and Womens leagues; and
3. Is affiliated with the USGA (USGA Tournament Management).
2. Key capabilities of interest to BHSML Members
• Pre-round: Ability to sign up for tee times (for you and your partners) on your computer, tablet, or mobile phone.
• In-round: Scoring on your mobile phone, also able to follow progress of other groups
• After-round: Review all scores and competitions on all electronic devices;
• Scores are automatically submitted to GHIN system. (no more double entry of scores)
• Improved communication with other League members and Golf committee.

• Sign-in to the Web site or the App using the League GGID: BHSML 26

• GGID is “Golf Genius ID” and is used to identify Leagues, Events, and Golfers.
• We will use the format “BHSML Month Day” to identify a round GGID.
• An example of a round ID is: BHSML Apr 14, BHSML E APR 14, or BHSML L APR 14

• Therefore, make sure you unblock this email address in your email program

1. Round Invitation: Sunday, 6:00 AM 10 days before a round.
1. All members receive an email inviting them to sign up for the round.
2. Online signups will close on Saturday afternoon at 5:00 PM.
3. Golfers will sign up for either the early division or the late division.
4. Golfers will stay in their assigned division all year.
5. Members may sign up an additional 3 golfers to fill out their group.
6. After registration, go to Tee Time Request to choose your tee time.
7. Members will receive an Email confirmation of their final tee time by Monday morning prior to play.
8. Bunker Hills and BHSML reserves the right to consolidate tee times to fill in gaps in the schedule.
1. Member groups will NOT be broken up if consolidation occurs.
2. The maximum time shift would be no more than two (2) slots (18 minutes)

• Groups are asked to score the round on the Golf Genius mobile app.
• Members can follow the progress of other groups during the course of play on the App Leaderboard

​

• Member will receive an email after their round is completed with a copy of their scorecard.
• Report errors to the Event Manager by phone, email, or on the Chat Room on the app.
• The round will officially close at 3:00 PM on the day of play.
• Preliminary Results will generally be posted by 6:00 PM on the day of play.

Scoring of all events should be considered preliminary since we my need extra time to verify scoring corrections and validate participants in each flight on the day of play.

​

After registering for the round, you will receive an email confirmation.

Any time after 6:00 am, Sunday Morning,you will be able to sign up for a tee time.

. Go to the website or app and choose the Tee Time Request Menu Item.

Now the important part: Scoring your round!

Once you have successfully signed up, you will receive a confirmation by Email

We will modify this screen to include the round GGID.

1. On the day of play, sign into the program using the Round GGID.
2. The easiest way to remember the GGID is that it is formatted as BHSML E Month Day.
3. The late division will use L between BHSML and Day
4. BHSML E APR 15
5. BHSML L APR 15
6. Choose the Enter Scores Option

Scoring Your Round

​

You will either go directly to your group, or to a screen that looks like this:

Enter the scores of each member of the group.

REMEMBER TO PUSH SAVE SCORES before proceeding to the next hole.

We suggest that at least one other member of your group should score on a paper scorecard. Compare scores before finalizing the round. Retain the attested scorecard if needed to defend a score.

After you finish the round, you will receive a confirmation email of your round

Use the Report Scoring Errors in the Chat Room on your phone or computer portal

Report errors by 3:00 PM Wednesday to the Scoring Committee.

2. A round GGID is BHSML followed by either “E” or “L” Month and Date
• Examples are: BHSML E Apr 12 or in August: BHSML L Aug 2

• Check your spam folder if you do not receive an email. Then “unblock” the email address.
