  • Quarter 1 ended on Thursday, October 28

  • November will be Kindness Month in grade 7 advisory (3 lessons per week)

Ministry of Education visit and feedback:

1) Students should walk on the side of the hallway for their direction of travel. We will use the same practices as driving which is please stay to the right when traveling to your next class.

2) Please keep social distance as best you can when walking to class.

3) Always wear a mask appropriately covering mouth and nose.

MOPH Student Testing

1) Students to be given their COVID forms in their advisory classes.

2) We will call students down to the Cafeteria for testing using the PA system. Teachers do not send students unless they heard the PA announcement for the grade they need to send to the cafeteria

3) Only students that have the form will be allowed to leave the room. If they do not have a signed form, they cannot get tested.

CHANGE TO THE LUNCH RELEASE RULES

Please note - With the change to not allow Prayer in the Diamond area, we will release students at the lunch bell rather than at the Call to Prayer

Grade 6 - 10

Breaks - Grade 6 - 10 students:

All students are released to their Advisory Areas at Breaks.

If they purchase food, they must wait until they get to their advisory area classroom to eat.

Lunch Breaks - Grade 6 - 12 students:

Realease all students at the bell to start lunch. They must eat in a classroom at desks to ensure they are socially distancing.

Updates

  • Report cards will be sent by email to parents

  • Starting next week, during lunch time, students will be allowed to use the MPH or go out to the basketball court according to a schedule

Updates

  • Because of the latest events among grade 7 students such as fights, altercations, and bullying, grade 7 teachers will collect phones at the start of the lesson and redistribute back to students at the end of the lesson
  • Students who do not turn in their phones, but use the phone, will have their phones confiscated and given to the GLL
  • The student’s parents will have to come to school to collect the phone from Ms. Cristina
