Please join SPG in holding Alaska’s leaders accountable.

1. Read the letters Steller Parent Group will be sending to the school board and to state legislatures. If you would like to sign them, email chairspg2@gmail.com for a link to do so.
2. Provide public or written comments to the school board (the next meeting is February 18th at which time educational funding allocation will be voted on).
3. Write your own letter to state legislatures in support of approving bills that will increase the Base Student Allocation, which increases the funding per student. List of emails for AK State Finance and Education Committee members on SPG website.
4. Sign Great Alaska School’s petition to the Governor.
5. Find good resources for speaking up.

Funding Requests

Because the March SPG meeting is so late (due to Spring Break) teachers have been given until February 18 to submit funding requests for Fall Intensives.

​

Per SPG Bylaws, “Should issues arise that require prompt attention, Officers may convene a meeting of at least 3 Officers to vote on issues that cannot be delayed to the next Member meeting.”

​

SPG welcomes you to vote on spending for Fall Intensives.

​
