Current Progress

  • Working on ROS tutorial with PuTTY
    • Reserved nodes on intersection and retrieved/plotted data from TurtleSim
  • Learned about remote graphical access and how to X forward using the correct ssh commands (created X image for ROS simulations)
  • Learned how to duplicate PuTTY session with tmux and practiced basic tmux shortcuts
  • Created GitHub repository for project code

Future Plans

  • Working on creating our own website (Django)
  • Learn Gazebo Simulator which we will eventually use to create the simulation environment for our self-driving car
  • Continue learning ROS to develop code for the vehicle
  • Learn self-driving machine learning algorithms for our vehicle to learn from its surroundings and become autonomous
  • Learn about neural networks and how to properly train and test data
