What is Transcripted Credit?

It is a no-cost way of providing college courses to high school students in our community. Students, while in their supportive high school environment, gain exposure to the academic rigor of college coursework and earn college credit after successful course completion.

Important Notes

  • For most courses the content is the same, regardless if you take the class for GTC credit or not.
  • If you are doing well and plan to pass with a C or better, it is a win/win.

Important Notes

  • If you register and pass the course, the credit is waiting for you at Gateway Technical College (GTC). If they choose to go to a college other than GTC it may apply as an elective or toward their program, so you would just need to request a transcript.

Important Notes

  • You are saving time and money! The course costs roughly $500 at GTC, probably double at a university. If they go to any college they have a certain number of credits they need to graduate...this would come off that total.

Important Notes

  • If you are struggling and don't think you can pass you can always withdraw. Please be aware of the drop date.
  • You will need to check to see if the university you plan on attending will take the Gateway credits.

If you receive educational accommodations, please note that the GTC course can not be modified. If you do not take it for GTC credit, the course can be modified to the specific accommodations.
