Lab Safety Poster Assignment

Your task is to create a small poster (8.5x11”) that illustrates one or more lab safety rules.

Your table team will be assigned a series of rules (you’ll see them in the lab). The team is responsible for making sure each member has a clear idea for their particular message. Individually, you will take responsibility for producing one poster. Each team member will choose a different rule from their list.

To earn the maximum 20 points, your poster needs to:

  • clearly convey an accurate lab safety message. Keep it clean and legal ! [5 points]
  • be creative (use a clever play on words or dynamic graphics or ???) [5 points]
  • be visually appealing - you put effort into making it look good [5 points]
  • have identification on the BACK - your name, date, class period, and the rule # that your poster addresses. [5 points]

We will share our posters in small groups in class on the due date: Wednesday August 19th
