Forecasting is open Feb. 6th - 21st!

Forecasting is the process of choosing your classes for next year. Check out what credits are required to graduate below:

4 English

3 – Social Studies

3 – Math (Algebra, Geometry, Adv. Alg. 3-4)

2 – World Language (2 years of same language)

1 – Fine/Performing/ or Technical Art

Seniors are required to take at least 6 classes. We recommend taking a math and science course in addition to required courses.

Which math class should I take?

  • 3 different math credits are required for graduation.
  • Current 9th graders in Geometry will take either Algebra 1-2 or Adv. Alg. 3-4 (if you completed Compacted Math/Algebra in middle school)
  • Current 10th graders taking Algebra 1-2 should forecast for Adv. Algebra 3-4.
  • Current 10th or 11th graders taking Adv. Algebra 3-4 see next slide for next level course options.
  • Incoming 12th graders - we recommend you take an additional math course to be prepared for post-secondary education or work.

  • All Visual Art, Music, Journalism and Theater classes have been renamed, see your Course Offerings sheet.
  • Most semester long classes are going away except for PE/Health.
  • New “Pairings” opportunity - year long elective but getting to “sample” two content areas

  • Fill this out and bring it to your meeting with your counselor

  • The meeting with your counselor is AFTER you have filled out this form and input your courses in StudentVue.

Forecasting FLEX Tomorrow!

This is your chance to learn about all of our amazing programs!

Teachers will hand out a map that has locations of teachers and programs

  • All teachers are available during FLEX to answer questions.
  • Use the map to locate the programs you want to learn more about.
  • Make a plan to visit 4-6 places in the 44 minutes you have.

Follow the steps below to successfully forecast

  1. Listen to the Forecasting Lesson during FLEX time on Feb. 6
  2. Consult your grade level course offerings sheet .
  3. Attend the Forecasting FLEX time on Feb. 7
  4. Do your research on courses (your choices are final)
    1. Talk with parent/guardian
    2. Visit the interactive forecasting guide

6. Fill out your Forecasting Worksheet

7. Enter your choices in StudentVue!! This is the most important step!

8. Meet with your counselor! This is the final step to lock in your choices. Find your counselor before school, during lunch, or after school or during a TA or free period. Don’t wait until the last minute!!!!!

The final day to meet with your counselor and lock-in your choices is Friday, Feb. 21 at 3:30. Counselors are available starting Feb. 10 for these short meetings!
