Countable and Uncountable Nouns
Grammar review
Countable nouns
Things that you can count (1, 2, 3…) are countable. Countable nouns have a singular and plural form. Use "a" or "an" before singular countable nouns. "A" and "an" refer to one person, animal, or thing.
Examples:
I eat an apple every morning. (one apple)
I like bananas.
She drinks a cup of coffee at ten o’clock. (one cup of coffee)

Uncountable nouns
Things that you can’t count (1, 2, 3…) are uncountable. Uncountable nouns only have one form. Don’t use "a" or "an" before uncountable nouns.

I’m allergic to milk. (NOT: a milk / milks)
