Participant’s Concerns for Private Side

Concern

Score

Dike 3 Hydraulic - Needs better warning of danger and maybe string of buoys as on the outlet canal into pond 1

Canal Under Moodytown Rd Unsafe - no towed sports or wake surfing

No wake boats on canal under Moodytown Road

Law enforcement on private side

Licensing should be required of all operators on private side including rental vessels

Rental boats and jet skis should not be allowed on the private side

Native plants better for control of run off and wave reflection

Duck blind/wakeboard ramp near the Waters needs a safety buoy (38.0321384, -77.8062208) or removal

Unsafe boating on canal from pond 1 to pond 2 do not allow towing or wake surfing.

No wale surfing on narrow parts of the lake

Participant’s Concerns for Private Side

Concern

Score

Report boating violations to DWR as a citizen include documentation. Post meeting inquiries to DWR denied that they could enforce on the private side

Riparian Buffer or rip-rap vs seawalls and bulkheads which reflect wave action into the lake and make the water choppy for skiers and due to changes in the chemical makeup of pressure treated pine, seawalls made of this material do not last

MORE Safety and education by boat rental COMPANIES TO RENTERS IS DEFINITELY NEEDED.

Are septic systems and drain fields at mega mansions on the lake sufficient for the # of bedrooms and large number of people.

Educate renters and property owners and their guests for septic served properties that only the 3 P’s should be sent to the septic system

No wake buoys at all bridges

No wake buoys at the bridges under Kentucky Springs Road

Participant’s Concerns for the Private Side

Concern

Score

Ask Dominion to put the water level of the WHTF on their web page. The water level shown in the WHTF is in front of the main dam. Or confirm that there is no difference in the water level.

Ask Dominion to maintain a more consistent water level

LACA should promote donations and volunteers for Lake Anna Rescue, Inc. and the Bumpass Fire Department. Both are still 100% volunteer organizations and need the support of the community

No wake buoys for the canal under Moodytown Road Bridge
