  • Transportation Department receives your information from your registration form
  • Before school starts, you will receive a transportation letter with your child’s teacher and bus route tag. Attach this tag to your child’s book bag
  • Drivers will drive their route the day before school starts

Riding the Bus to School

  • Be ready 5 minutes before your bus arrives, letters give an approximate time
  • Wait 15 feet away from the road
  • Wait for the bus to come to a full stop, the red lights are flashing and you hear the air brake engaged. Crossers look at the driver
  • Kindergartners sit up front
  • Seat belts

Arriving at School

  • Unloading
    • For the first weeks, Kindergartners will get off the bus first
    • They will be helped to the cafeteria for breakfast and to their class
    • Different unloading times

Riding the Bus Home

  • Dismissal
    • Bus Notes
      • Write a note in the morning if there will be a change in transportation for that afternoon or a permanent change-forms can be found on our website
    • Please have an adult at the bus stop to receive your child
    • Wait for the bus to come to a complete stop: yellows, then reds, listen for the air brake, look at the driver for crossing signal.
