SESSION 3: WORKSHOP INSTRUCTIONS

  • Step 1: Decide which campuses are most appropriate for which grade levels. (Consider the goals and needs stated from previous sessions) Solutions should target a total enrollment that matches our projected enrollment and maintains a consistency of educational experience in alignment with the goals defined in earlier sessions. Total Student Counts forecasted for 2029-2030
  • Step 2: Capture Notes identifying the rationale for your selections. Keep in mind that proposed options can be pursued both with or without bond funding.
  • Step 3: Color Code the Schools on the Map
  • Step 4: Define with colors corresponding to the proposed schools, general school boundaries. Add notes to describe challenges and positives to school arrangement and its impacts on the community.

The Work Ahead

  • Our work is complex—and that’s because it matters.
  • If solutions were easy, they’d already exist.
  • The strength of an advisory committee is in the diversity of perspectives we bring.
  • Even in the face of conflicting viewpoints, we must navigate with honesty, respect, and a shared commitment to what’s best for our students and community.
