World's Largest democracy

India is by far the world's greatest democratic success story.  And I'm confident in saying that because the first thing we see there is no country where the GDP per capita of less than $10,000 per year that has a consistent record of democratic elections going back more than a few decades. India is the only post colonial country to have remained a democracy throughout its entire history. It makes India a truly exceptional case.

Independent India

The colonial history of India dates back to early 18th century when britishers started to rule the country. We gained freedom in 1947, after which on the night of August 15, a nation with a strong constitution and a democratic structure was established with a deep permanent scar of partition with our friendly brothers.

Friendly India

Who are friends of India?

The answer is almost everyone. From Europe to the United States to Africa to Russia to Australia, India has a history of good relationships with each and every nation of the world. Our non-alignment policy in mid 20th century led us to emerge as a 3rd world nation which was influenced by any axis of the world. Now the people of India have their own say on the international stage.
