This club is for all students wanting to learn how to play chess for fun or for a richer understanding of the game.
For serious and competitive players, join the program to become part of the Oak Grove chess team of students and represent the school at competitions.

Drama Club will give kids a chance to build on their performance skills while engaging in fun, interactive activities. Kids will create improvised scenes, get some experience with memorization, and play theater games.

Science Club is open to students in grades 6-8. We will meet in Room 105 twice a month on Fridays from 3:30-5:00, starting in November,and ending in March with the YBTCC Regional Competition Challenge. Space is limited to the first 30 students.

Spanish Club - Grades 4-8

We will meet every Wednesday from 3:20-4:20 starting March 1st through the end of the year.
Spanish club creates enhanced cultural crafts, tries new foods, and practices the Spanish language.

Board Games Club
For Grades 4-8, come join this club that meets weekly from 3:25-4:15 in room 308 for students who enjoy gaming. Bring your own games and socialize with other players. Board games, card games, Pokemon, trading (if allowed by parents) are welcome each week. Meeting dates for this year will be posted in December and in the Oak Grove News. Interested students must register ahead of time. *No computer games- we are going old school!
