DID YOU KNOW…

...what great things our music students at Fenton are doing since our last meeting?

• 23 students are in Jazz Ensemble (over 40 auditioned)
• 17 of the 51 2016-2017 “Fenton’s Finest” students were enrolled in band and choir in last school school year (that’s 33%!)
• 22 students are auditioning for ILMEA District 1 Honor Ensembles!

THE MONTH IN REVIEW

• Jazz Ensemble has had two rehearsals and is under way!
• The Band performed in class AA at the Red & Black Fall Classic MB Competition. They met our performance goals and worked hard all day!
• The gentleman of the choir attended “Real Men Sing” at the University of Wisconsin/Milwaukee
• Private Lesson Scholarship Applications collected
• Tri-M is up and running!
• Swing Choir busy with preparations for first concert!
• Singers busy preparing for ILMEA with weekly coachings

�THE COMING MONTH

• MB rehearsal on 10/10 from 6-8:30PM
• ILMEA Auditions 10/11 @ Carl Sandburg H.S.
• Choir Concert 10/15 @ 3:00 PM; call time 12:30-Swing choir, 1pm for all other choirs...Refreshments?
• Mrs. Williams’ return: Monday, Oct. 16th
• Bandarama on 10/17 - New start time of 7:30 due to a Volleyball Game - Call time is 6:15PM for kids
• Choir kids get extra credit for going and turning in a signed program
• Seniors will bring cookies & refreshments will be served
• Band Senior night on 10/13
• Jazz Boot Camp 10/14 9-Noon - with special guests
• Rehearsal on 10/24 5:30-8 & 10/30 5:30-8, & 11/7 5:30-8
• Swing Choir rehearsals: Oct-19th, 26th...Nov-2nd, 9th, 16th , *21st, 30th
• I390 Grand Opening performance for MBB Band 10/28 in AM
