Pentecost Sunday
Visio Divina audio guided prayer
for children
Visio Divina means ‘divine seeing.’
It is a form of prayer that lets God speak to your heart as you look deeply at an illumination (picture)
and listen to the Word of God.
By praying this way,
you can see what God wants you to see today.
The audio on each slide will guide you in your prayer as we celebrate the Solemnity of Pentecost Sunday - when Jesus sent the Holy Spirit into the world as he promised he would.
We begin our prayer with the Sign of the Cross:
In the name of the Father, and of Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Listen to the Word of God
When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them.
All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability.
Acts 2:1-4
Meditate on the Word of God

Acts 2:1-4
Gaze at the illumination
See and hear the Word of God
Contemplate -sit quietly and rest with the Holy Spirit.
Become more like Jesus- the Holy Spirit will help you.
Make your final prayer with the Sign of the Cross
