  • Special Educator Lucy Verhave will go on leave soon. Kyssandra Perkowski joins us in the 7-8 Learning Center through the end of December.
  • Alex Borns-Weil, long time Heath Literacy Specialist, returns from a year at the RLA as one of our 4th Grade teachers.
  • Emily Redburn, a veteran 1st grade teacher, will take a leave of absence this upcoming year. I am excited to announce that we have a new addition to the 1st grade team to cover Ms. Redburn's absence: Jasmine Tierney. Ms. Tierney has been at Heath for a few years now as a Special Educator.

Health and Safety

With the increasing number of students with life threatening allergies in our district, it is vital that we are current with the updated guidelines regarding the consumption of food in our classrooms.

Nuts and peanuts will only be permitted in the cafeteria; this means that students will not be able to consume any food in the classroom or hallway that contains any nut product even if you do not have any students in your class with a nut allergy. This is a district wide policy.

Food should not be part of ANY celebration. We realize some families may be very disappointed with this change.

Gail Corcoran, our school nurse, is the BEST! If you have questions or concerns, Gail can help! gail_corcoran@psbma.org
